Hunting for ducks and geese in Latvia, in the midst of the autumn migration season: September and October are the key months for the transit of all species, and in Latvia, hunting is permitted every day. We organize hunting days on lakes located along an excellent migration route, where wigeons, gadwalls, pintails, teals, mallards, tufted ducks, shovelers, wild geese, white-fronted geese, and bean geese are encountered. The blinds, for a maximum of 3 hunters each, are placed on the lake shore or in the center, depending on the wind conditions assessed each time by me or my collaborators. Outings take place from half an hour before dawn until approximately 11:00 AM.
